BIRTHDAY OUTREACH

For my siblings and I, our hardworking parents gave us a life where we all our needs and wants were more than just met, they were greately surpassed. Unfortunately, it’s not the same for most of our fellow Filipinos. It’s near impossible for us to picture the lives of the people who won’t be able to eat if they don’t work, so it’s our duty to recognize our privilege and use it to provide a better world to those who needs it most.

On my 21st birthday, with my parents’ help, I’ve decided to celebrate it by giving back the love I’ve received to a community who I believe needs it most. We ventured to the mountains of Pinatubo to visit the natives of Tarlac. We shared a meal, gave out clothes, toys, slippers, grocery package, medicine, vitamins and other pamaskos. We would like to say thank you to everyone who donated their time and other resources, without whom, this outreach would be very difficult.

- To my family, specially mommy chat and daddy darren, Thank you for spending my birthdays with me for 21 consecutive years and for giving me the best life a girl could have

- To Kuya Adan, Tito Jeboy, Kuya Tong and Kuya Ayan and the other kagawads, thank you for being the muscle during the outreach, salamat sa literal na pagbuhat sa grupo

- To Tita Riz & Angel for going to our house at 1am to help mommy cook everything we ate during the outreach, engsherep so thank you so mucho

- To Lolo Mar and Lola Mel, for taking the time and energy to go to our farm to help out, thank you also po for the sako-sakong blessings na bitbit niyo papunta sa Tarlac

- To the people who helped me pack the groceries, sort the donation clothes and prepare the ingredients, couldn’t have finished anything without you all. Thank you, Nica Cruz, Aea, Aieden, Jaibell, and Micah

- To the people who donated goods or money for the community:

Lance Sy, Joanne Wang, Thread It, Elis Fable, Yssa Nacpil, Aris Aristotle, Dale Evangelista, Danley Evangelista, Tito Jeff and Tito Sean of BigBoys Toy Shop, Tita Mary Rose, Tita Fleur, Tita Immelda and Marc Co. Thank you for giving the donations and as well as the effort to meet with us just to give them.

- And lastly but certainly not the least, to God, without Whom, nothing is possible. Thank You, for the opportunity to bring joy to these people.

At my age, it’s the time of exploring and learning, and I still have no idea where life will take me. But with that, I want to end with a quote from one of my favorites, Ghandi.
